Welcome to the Arizona
Technical Testing Institute
The Arizona Technical Testing Institute (ATTI)
is a nonprofit organization formed to promote the highest standard
in highway construction materials sampling and testing through
certification technicians.
ATTI certification emphasizes a
hands-on approach, that is, technicians must satisfactorily
perform test methods as well as pass a written exam to receive
certification. The organization is represented by members from the
Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), highway contractors,
materials suppliers, materials testing laboratories, Arizona Rock
Products Association (ARPA), and Associated General Contractors (AGC).

Reschedule Policy Change
Due to economic and other
circumstances, it has become necessary for ATTI to change
its Reschedule Policy.
In the past, companies/technicians have been allowed
reschedule test dates without a limit on the number of
times, and without a monetary penalty, as long as the change
was requested at least five days prior to a technician’s
examination date.
The number of reschedule requests, and the number of times
individuals are requesting to reschedule one test date, has
become cumbersome and is, in some cases, misused.
As a result, the policy below will apply immediately to all
requests to reschedule an exam date:
A technician who cancels an exam
must reschedule in one of the next two open exam dates. If
the technician cancels out of that new exam date, (s)he can
reschedule in one of the next two exam dates but will be
charged a $50 rescheduling fee. If the technician fails to
attend the second rescheduled date, (s)he forfeits the exam
fee and must start the ATTI application process over.
Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation
in this matter.
New Cancellation
Policy
ATTI is now requiring that
cancellations must be reported to ATTI at least five (5)
working days prior to the exam in question. The previous
cancellation policy was seven (7) days. Under the new
policy, we are allowing companies two (2) extra days for
cancellations...
