Subject: Retest Fee Policy for Non-ADOT Technicians

 

To Whom it May Concern,

Effective October 1, 2025, free retests will no longer be offered for failed exams.  A $250 fee will be required for each exam retake (2nd & 3rd attempt).   

Please note the following:

  • This policy appliesonly to individuals who are NOT employed by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).
  • ADOT employeeswill continue to follow the existing contract with ATTI, which remains unchanged at this time.
  • Effective immediately, the Asphalt exam review has been extended to two days instead of one. The review will be held on the Thursday and Friday prior to each scheduled Asphalt exam.

We encourage all technicians to adequately prepare for all testing to avoid additional fees.
